A Message From The Pastor
Grace, mercy, and peace be with you! We, the members of the community of faith known as Old Bergen Church, have experienced the extraordinary presence of a loving, healing, life-changing God. It is our hope that you may also know this amazing presence in whatever tradition, community, or spiritual practice you follow. We also welcome you to join us in our journey of faith – through worship, ministry, education, and spiritual nurture.
As the new pastor of Old Bergen Church I am honored and excited to be serving this uniquely diverse community. This congregation is truly a model of the kingdom of God – where people come from north and south and east and west and sit at table together. It is like a treasure hidden in a field!
Something is happening here… there is an excitement and anticipation of what God’s Spirit is doing in our midst. Together we are learning what it means to make a space for grace here in the heart of Jersey City. It is a place where people of all ages, cultures, traditions, and perspectives have been knit together in the love of Christ. Come, and find a little light to shine upon your way, a little hope to carry you through the challenges of this life, and a wellspring of love that surrounds and flows out of the lives of this community.
